Here are some photos of the house on December 17th. The roof is almost completely shingled and almost all of the windows are in. The bay window is ready for the copper top.

December 14

I stopped by today and talked to the framing contractor. He said that he is almost finished. He walked me around the house and showed me a few of thechanges he made. An arch here and moving a wall a little bit there to make the ceilings all fit perfectly under the roof. He said that it is a really good plan and that it's looking really good. He especially thought that the copper over the front bay window is going to be really nice. He also added the arch above the garage door and above the entry way to make the two entrances match. I like all the angles of the roof, even on the the courtyard roof there is a little angle because of where the outside fireplace will go. The windows are almost all in and they make the house look more like.. a house. As you can see the roof shingles are ready to go, I am sure that they will be on before the weekend.

December 11

It was a nice day today, compared to some of the recent days a temperature in the mid 50s felt great. Here are a couple of photos from the front of the house.. Myra is in the front door. There will be a window above there and an arch in that square. The third photo is in the guest room.. I tried to get a perspective of just how high the ceilings are in here

We also picked out the rock, brick and stucco that we liked. The first picture is of a house that has the brick and rock combination that we like and the second is of the stucco.

The bay window in front of the house is stucco, the the sections around the front door and garage are rock and most of the rest if brick, but there are rock accents in other places.

December 8, SNOW!!

I drove by to take a look at the house. We had our first snow of the season.. not much, but it stopped work for the day. It's cold!!! the steam is from the power plant across the river. The roof is all on and you can see in the front photo that they have started on the bay window in the front guest room. We aren't expecting any more snow, but it isn't going to get above freezing today.

December 5th

December 5th.. a few more photos. Myra looks like an onimous figure going up the stairs. It was pretty cold in there.

The second is Myra, in the attic over the garage... she is looking out the window in the frot. The room between her and me is one of the large upstairs closets. The next one is from the front entrance, looking across the downstairs.

There are a lot of windows in the living room. That big hole on the right is for the fireplace.

The upstairs bedrooms have really big windows!

The last photo is out of the upstairs bedroom across the way at another house by our builder. It was getting a lot of visitors for it's open house.

December 2

I drove by today and took a few more photos.. there are people in these so you can get a perspective of the size of the place. Just awesome.. you can see how the rooms fit underneath the roof, not one room upstairs will have a funky ceiling.
